If there is interest in 19130s auction, of course do it. I will bid, just don't have it in October when I am away for 2 weeks, please.

I agree totally with all comments, we have all very much enjoyed the Noodle Shuffle, thanks to P.J, and Joyce getting it off the grounds, overcoming the first problems, also you newbie girlies B.J Anna, who took over from P.J. Thank you for all your work, you have made so many Quilting addicts happy.
I agree Anna should keep the Country fabic.
The 1930's Auction, maybe, Q we leave it to those who really want them to sort something out, to Auction or not, I am sure we would all not have a problem with that. I agree Joyce does need a thank you for all her work.
The Ornament swap went well, thank you Ruth, the excitment of Postie calling,Tanned, in Shorts, big smile for this Old Lady, makes my day!!!
I am off again about Crazy Patch, makes good childrens quilts, so many little pictures for them to find on the quilt top.
Looking forward to your ideas Joyce, watching out for it. We need input on future swaps.
Another idea, we could swap 5 inch squares, matching colours, 3 or 5, could be found from stash, maybe with colour theme.
    I am goneeeee. Jo

Joyce, I am with you on that. If Anna can use these and is happy to have them then she should have them. And the 1930s and Christmas ones either auctioned or sold should recompense whoever is owed. How about you Joyce, are you owed some as well?

The idea of a block or some type of swap is really good. Ruth's one has been so good and generated so much excitement from all who took part. Maybe a 1 or 2 times a year swap of whatever kind with paying our own costs will be the way to go. Even a fat quarter/fabric swap - just one in a year. Ruth has done the groundbreaking work of how to organise the block swap and it has worked remarkably well.

So thank you heaps, Joyce, Anna and BJ for a fantastic job of organising the noodle shuffle. I think all of us who took part in any of them would agree it has been a lot of fun. There have been some beautiful quilts as a result - and more to come as we get to use the noodles we still have stashed away.

Kathy, there are the chicken ones up for Auction as well, if you or Loisa would like to bid for a lot there is still one for Anna is she would like them.
Pat, you never know there may be plenty of competition in the Auction for the 1930's. Most put in two lots to get a good supply. Competition is good.
Christmas Noodles I have plenty of also as you know, but am making a quilt to sell for the hospital so will use a lot of them up in that. I might need more then especially if they are really glittery and lovely, cannot resist a bit of glitter.
I am not sure when Anna is going to close the Auctions, so get in pretty soon, if any one wants to bid. Cheers Joyce

Yes I vote that Anna keep the horses for herself, no charge, to cover the postage she has put out.
I have offered to but the 1930's ones. I will pay either Anna or BJ, whoever is owed money and but all the 1930's if no one else objects.
As you know I do not need any more xmas ones.
A block swap would be good, I enjoyed the xmas one, it is a real keepsake and first time I have joined anything like that.

Pat, guess everyone in the same boat, broke. I am not sure how this will work out. Anna and BJ must be owed money for shipping of noodles and there is still the Christmas ones to get out.
I think Anna should keep the country ones for herself, I know she was making a quilt for a family member out of them. At least she will get something.
The 1930's ones we will have to Auction, there should be some interest in them. This may conpensate BJ.
    The Christmas ones as well.
The Final thing is that the Christmas Shuffle will be the last. I have heard from both Anna and BJ and they feel with me that the shuffle has run its course and that we are not going to carry it on.
This leaves it up to the members now to organise swaps themselves if they want to do one.
I am going try to organise next year a block swap of 6 -8 (not sure yet on size) blocks your own design using only scraps from your stash. The idea is not mine, Pat and Jo both came up with good ideas. Postage will be done the same way as Ruth's Ornament swap. It was a great idea of Ruth's and really worked.
The thrill of receiving the mail every few days was so nice. Even my hubby got into it, he was home sick and raced to get the mail every day to see where it came from. I was swapping other stuff with girls in the US as well.
Well this Noodle Nut has done all she can.
    Signing off. Cheers Joyce

Joyce, I'm not hiding, I'm broke from buying last Xmas noodles. Saving for the 1930's, not a country girl myself. (Girl? I wish)
But lots of others are, that's how the themes were chosen right?

    Coo-ee, (Aussie country/Bush Call)
Where are all the country people, do you really have enough country themed fabric? Lets get a few bids in for these Noodles, plus Anna's generous additions.
Auction is for everyone, not just for those who go into the shuffles. Usually a bargain can be had. We still have 1930's to come up then Christmas in July.
If you do not have PayPal we are happy to work out some other way of payment, the money is used to ship the Noodles across the world.

Farm auction #2, mostly chickies

  • Farm auction #2, mostly chickies - 2008-08-03 13:41:47-04
This is for a large fat quarter with a full pattern repeat. About 18x28 inches. And 4 of each noodle pattern so they work out to fat quarters worth each also. There are a couple spares for a total of one fat quarter and 26 noodles. I may toss in some charm squares too if I can find them!!!

    Happy bidding
    Anna

I think I have my health and my computer issues under control so here is an auction for you. You better bid or else my grandson will make me buy them for his quilt!!

There is a smallish fat quarter 16x21 inches and 24 noodles. Each noodle pattern is in 4 times so it is the equivalent of a fat quarter. There are 6 different patterns. This is a good one, dont pass it up!!

    Happy bidding
    Anna
