This might be a very good way for someone who doesn't have access to a good selection fabric, for the exchange, to get fabric. A couple members live where there is little quilting fabric available.
I have private messaged luisa71 and Ohio; they are two that come to mind as not having access to quilting fabric.Post edited by: kquilts, at: 2007/08/24 21:15
A noodle shuffle is a great way for quilters and people interested in quilting to swap Noodles (2-1/2 inch strips of fabric). Members of a noodle shuffle send each other fabric to use in their quilts.

Ok, now that I have my computer back, I can tell you I love my noodles! I posted that I was sending the seahorses but changed my mind and sent the light green background with hummingbirds and butterflies with a bit of gold fleck. Now to think up what to make with them all. Hugs, Suzyq2

Great idea, only problem I can see is that it will be so popular we'll have to make 50 blocks! there might have to be a limit, like you make (and get) enough for a quilt, size to be determined. That way it won't get overwhelming.

Great idea, as Marilyn said we were trying to work out how sent the noodles. It was good that Laura put a label on hers, I thought I would do that this time.
My noodle was the Aboriginal print, the one with dots around the animals. I am from Bribie Island in Queensland Australia.
Cheers Jean

Yes that sounds a good idea, I would be in that. As Marilyn said we would need some time to put the block together.
Cheers Jean

I like the idea of doing crazy patch as one swap. May need to have numbers in ahead of time to allow sewing time but that could be arranged. We could also incorporate some international themed fabrics in with the scraps where possible - if people wanted to do that..
It may be a good way for those who would like to participate but cant spend the money on fabrics as well as postage to be able to be part of the excitement.
What do others think???

What do you think about haveing a 12 craqy square block exchange?
This would halp people get rid of some scraps that we just can't stand to through out>>> and there wouldn't be much expense to this as we wouldn't have to buy fabric only postage... Is this worth thinking about?

Im sure that city will show up on any map you can get of British Columbia. My little city might not.
Im glad to see such a positive response to this suggestion. Wait till you hear my next one.
Hugs,
