A noodle shuffle is a great way for quilters and people interested in quilting to swap Noodles (2-1/2 inch strips of fabric). Members of a noodle shuffle send each other fabric to use in their quilts.

Oct fabric
quilt pattern for your noodles
- quilt pattern for your noodles - 2007-10-13 04:28:09-04
Hello all you happy noodle swappers!
If you haven't heard yet, I wanted to let you know that the next class over on http://www.quiltingweekly.com will make great use of your Oct/Nov Christmas noodles! The pattern I am using will give you directions for using Fat Quarters or Noodles to make a quick and easy quilt just great for gift giving this holiday season. And as an added bonus I will show you how to make a great table runner for an even faster gift!
If you are not a member at quilting weekly, it is free to join the sight, you only pay for the classes. (And yes even if you are a member here, you still need to register there as well) You can use the same name and passwords if you like to keep it simple. (which is what most people here do)
Just thought you might want to know!

I had this idea to start an Image gallery for the Noodle Shuffle. And thought that would be a great little job for some one that wanted to help out. Just keep an eye out for noodle photos and put them into the gallery... so I am searching for someone who is pretty familiar with the image gallery and can gather the photos and get them uploaded.. If you are intrested in being a Noodle Shuffle Scrapbook Hostess Please reply to this thread. I would be awsome to find someone who does digital scrapbooking to make it all purdy, but not required.
Thanks
P.J.

Well the voting has been good, but if you don't really like the outcome and you have not voted yet you can.
The outcome is listed from the most popular, I have not listed them all only those that got 5 or more votes so far.
1. The Beach/Under the Sea
2. Christmas/Winter or Seasonal - end of year.
3. 1930's
4. Tone on Tones
5. Country/Farms
6. Brites/Brights
7. Floral
8. Japenese
We can only have 6 so if you have not voted yet, get in and vote.
I agree Christmas towards the end of the year to be able to buy fabric at the sales. Also seasonal would suit if the hot countries can find appropriate fabric. ie, Santa in shorts, Santa at the beach. I have seen them so I will be looking for them. Then the cold countries can get the snowmen etc.
We want everyone to be happy with the Themes, so if you have not yet voted have your say.

I think I have missed something. Where are the rules? Do you have to have paypal to join? I can only send money order or stamps by mail. Last time it was paypal only, but I don't see new rules in the forum or the noodle site. Please clarify. Thanks. Pat
Re:New Members and the Noodle Shuffle
- Re:New Members and the Noodle Shuffle - 2007-10-09 07:06:38-04
Hi Debra,
When the noodle shuffle first started it was going to be 2.1/2 x 44 inch fabric strips. But so many people were finding it difficult to find a print small enough to still be visible after being cut so narrow the size was changed to 4.1/2 x 22 inch fabric strips.
We all liked the larger width so we voted to keep it that size for all the future noodle swaps too.
Here is a direct link to the noodle site. If you bookmark it or set it as a favorites you will have easy access to it from your computer at any time.
http://noodleshuffle.bravehost.com/home.html I hope this helps.
If you havent already emailed either PJ or Joyce with your real name and address you need to do that at this email address.
noodleshuffle@creative-quilting.com
Ok?
Happy Noodling,
Anna

Good Morning,
Would please verify that I am signed up for October and November. Noodle Shuffle. If so please let me knoiw how many noodle I need to purchase, and I believe it is in Red and Green christmas.
I seem to be not quite understanding how to get to Âhe site with all this information. One place place it said 2 1/2 in strips an then in this posting it says 4 1/2 inches. So what should it be.
I am confused, should be easy.
Thanks.

- Re:Noodle Shuffle Themes for 2008 - You Decide - 2007-10-08 13:00:45-04
Ok Joyce in order of my preference
1 Country
2 flowers (perhaps something that would go with
the previous one sent )
3 Tone on Tone
4 1930s (again something to go with previous fabric )
5 Perhaps something based on a colour eg Blue
could be stripes /floral
6 Again colour , Blue, plain /tone on tone to go with the previous swap
Sujestion re Xmas fabric if you decide to go with that could it not be early in the year. Everyone could then buy on special and people like me would have time to use before Xmas or to make xmas presents from. What do you think!
