Maybe do a block, such as, double 4 patch, or broken dishes, etc, in what ever fabric for that 2 month period, such as floral or batik, 1930 or 1800's. for the exchange. Then we would just have to put the quilt together. I am doing this in a batik club I belong to, I will post what I have made and what I have received. I do 15 6 1/2 in. block every to months. Debra P.S. we could sign the blockPost edited by: dtraut, at: 2008/07/17 17:51
A noodle shuffle is a great way for quilters and people interested in quilting to swap Noodles (2-1/2 inch strips of fabric). Members of a noodle shuffle send each other fabric to use in their quilts.

So is final count still 8? So send an even dozen and see what we get eh?
They are washed and pressed, waiting to be cut.
Was showing everyone to day at the charity quilt meeting all my xmas ornaments, trying to get something like that started in our guild.
Also told them about the site and the noodles swap.

Even just 3,4, or 5 inch squares from the scraps, and exchange 10 each or something along that idea would work, and if we mail directly then there is no extra charge to any one person.

Very quiet around here these days. Guess you all are having a lovely summer, hope none of you are too near to the bush fires, Aussie fire fighters on way.
I have had a few ideas from people about the Noodle Shuffle. We will be having another Auction of the Country Noodles soon. The Christmas in July swap has 8 people in it, so we still receive 16 noodles. You need to send 11 all up of each one. Tone on Tone and Glittery. There is still time to sign up if you have not been around.
Jo's idea to swap squares (size to be decided) was added to using by your scraps. Crazy Quilting or Log Cabin would be really suitable. That way not much expense, no need to buy fabric. Jo's suggestion of using Christmas Fabric, perhaps if we had enough we could make a table runner. Next year though I think for that one. Time this year is flying.
Let me know some more ideas please,
Joyce
