    My list would be
    Brights
    Beach/Water/Sea life
    Batik/hand dyed
    Country/farm
    Cats
    Dogs

And I think Christmasy something, (liking cobrajetjohns idea of snow, snowmen) maybe in July? As in Christmas in July. Our fabric store has specials just for that.

You will also find the information for those wishing to look into joining their first shuffle.
There has been some interest from new members and those that contacted us will have an answer to their enquiry very soon.
PJ Joyce, would like to welcome Usannda as a Hostess (Canada) it is great to have her help and expertise.

New Members and the Noodle Shuffle

  • New Members and the Noodle Shuffle - 2007-09-28 13:47:13-04
I have seen a lot of new names logged on when I have been on the site, and am inviting you to join us in the Noodle Shuffle. Fabric 4 1/2 x 22 strips are swapped with the girls in all countries who sign up to be in it. So far we have swapped, International Animals, International Floral and are now swapping Childrens fabrics. We have received an average of 20 noodles each and then do whatever we like with them.
We have two Hostesses one in Australia and one in the USA who do the receiving and sorting then sending out of the Noodles across the waves.
Go through the Noodle Shuffle posts in the forum and check out the fun we have all had, and are having, show and tell of fabrics then recently a couple of Quilts and ideas as to what you could do with them have been posted.
We only require that you join in the forum and make some posts to show that you are interested in joining in with us all.
There have been lots of friendships made on this site, you just have to see the chats to know how close we are in the world of quilting.
We are having only 6 Shuffles next year, so is possible you might be able to join in one with a theme you love too.
Welcome to the Creative Quilting Noodle Shuffle.
    Joyce

Noodle Shuffle Themes for 2008 - You Decide

  • Noodle Shuffle Themes for 2008 - You Decide - 2007-09-28 13:35:56-04
As we are all in the Noodle Shuffle together, we have decided that you all get to help make the decision on the themes for each one.
We have 6 only, so January, March, May, July, September and November. Perhaps keep the last two Sept/Nov for Christmas or not. (we can buy in advance at January sales)
Or you may rather have them early in the year if you buy at sales.
Then we need to choose the others. Ideas are:
    1. Brights
    2. Spots
    3. Country
    4. Cats
    5. Dogs
    6. Japanese/oriental
    7. Tone on Tone
    8. Floral (any floral-not international)
    9. Rainbow
    10. Hand Dyes (purchased or your own)
    11. Bears
    12. Stripes/Plaids
    13. The Beach/Under the sea
    14. 1930s
    15. Household- Kitchen/Laundry/Food etc

There are many more, you may like to add a favorite.
Let me know in private mail and I will add it to the list. Then each of you vote by listing your favorite numbers, I will tally up and see what we come up with. If you agree with two Christmas then we only need to choose 4.
PJ and I have been trying to decide, but as we all have differing loves of fabric it is only fair you help with the decision. Joyce/PJ

    In answer to Usannda's question.
Color of Noodles, they have to go with Red or green and Christmas prints from the November Swap as well, The goal is to have enough to make a good sized Christmas quilt.

In answer to Joy54 and cobrajetjohn's questions,
We are working on the themes for January and March, so you will be able to start the year off knowing what you will need. We thought about February, but that would leave us with a shuffle in December and we like the thought of having nothing then, budget wise.

Great! Looking forward to it and to my annual fabric shopping binge! My cash from quilt sales is recycled into more quilting stuff, first a gadget and the rest into fabric. Look forward to it all year.

You can add me to both lists. I found my christmas fabric stash and I wont have to buy for the santas or trees.
Im a little confused about the October shuffle. Does the fabric have to be plain red or green. Or can it be primarily green say with holly leaves and a sprinkling of red beeries?
    Thanks
    Anna

I thought they said every other month starting January, but that does not mean that January is the first month actually, maybe it is February and April. Guess we will find out soon (I hope)

Is it January and March etc, I thought maybe Feb would give us time to get over Christmas and all the back to school expenses(for Aussies). Keep us posted, as I might have to start thinking about buying early too

HI all, The Floral Noodles from the US and Canada have arrived this morning, I will pop them into the envelopes and have them posted to you tomorrow, They should be to you soon, but the UK ones I am not sure how long they will take. I hope you all enjoy them, they are great. There will also be the missing one from the Animal swap to be included for those in that swap. Joyce

Have the themes been chosen yet for January and maybe March? I know we gave lots of input and wondered where we stood?. Reason I'm asking is I will be on fabric buying expedition in November and will be able to get it then, as long as we have decided by the end of Oct.
    Thanks. Pat
