Hello Everyone, Thanks for the offer of help with the postage of the parcel to PJ, but as of yet I have spent nothing. I did not have to buy the two envelopes or the return postage etc you have all had to pay for. I will see how much it cost to actually send the parcel, ours from Australia will be smaller than the one PJ will send from US though.
As for readdressing the envelopes I figure I will just stick a piece of paper over the address section of your envelopes and peel off the stamps (some only have a little bit of a sticker from the PO) and then put your new stamps on, I have got double sided sticky tape and if need be a staple will make it really secure. Don't want to lose those noodles. I think I can only do this is you send in those thick paper type envelopes. This month though I will use your addressed envelopes you sent in. I will send back your other ones if you like.

PS. Everyone who has not sent in parcels yet, please remember to put in your return envelope and cost of postage to PJ. All the Australian ones just about on the way or are here already.

Hi Joyce just read your sujestion on saving of envelopes. good idea but won't that create a lot more work for you. What about the cost of the labels.. also I agree with jean what about some stamps for the cost of sending to USA Cheers Ruth ps don't be afraid to ask you are doing all the work You shouldn't be out of pocketas well

Elle I have received your noodles today, Friday 20th they have been sorted with all the others I have received. There are a couple more to come early next week and then they are off the USA to PJ.

Hi RiaM, We have received another lot today from Jeanne Bird.
As far as postage goes, most have arrived by ordiany post in a strong post pack purchased at the Post Office, If you feel you would like to have a reference number of the sending you can use an Express Post package which gives you a tracking number. The bonus of having the Express envelope enclosed is you will get them quicker than ordinary post. But I think much more expensive.
In yesterdays forum I mentioned that I think I can recycle the heavy duty envelopes in the next Shuffles, just by typing new labels and taking the stamps off. We only have three more lots to receive and they will be in the post to the States.

Thank you for that suggestion Joyce. That is worth trying. I was thinking maybe after this first time we should work out what was the best type of envelope etc for posting. Sounds like you are already working on that. Thats good.

They are my grand-daughters, it was taken 18 months ago. They are all a little bigger now, I have just had a visit from the 2 biggest, they came up from Sydney to see me when I came home from hospital. It was so good to see them, I don't get to be with them all that often as I am in Queenland they are all in Sydney. They will be back for Christmas which I am looking forward to.

Noodles have arrived today to me, I have received from MarilynD, Struth and Jeantanner. Love them all.
I had a thought about the cost and if I might suggest. That we recycle envelopes at least a few times. I can take the stamps off the envelope I receive put new labels on the front and back. All you need to do is pop the stamps required into a packet so I can find them and Hey Presto! we have recycled and saved a bit on the cost. You will get your same envelope back. Jean, the other noodles came in the packets without the bubble wrap in them and arrived very safely. They would cut a little on the cost for you.
I was really surprised I thought the postman would bring them and I would have to keep an eye out for him, but they were delivered to the door. What good service we got from Australia Post, just hope the parcel to USA will be as easy. Joyce

Jean, Is that three girls I see in the picture of you and your children? I too have three girls so I have been where you are. Oddly when mine were little like yours are I had two others I kept so there were five most of the time. I got so much more done then than I do now. My youngest is 19 1/2. I never worked outside the home though until the last four years.
Good luck with the noodles, I wish I had the money to join in.
