Hi Marilyn
I know Q'land a bit. Lived in T'wmba for 6 years when I was young. We went to Surfers for camping holidays, back when the Chevron Bowling Alley was THE place to be seenI remember we all got blown away, tent ,caravan and all, on New Years Eve 1959 or 1960 or thereabouts
We ( hubby and I), visit Q'land regularly, usually a few days at the coast, to thaw out from the miserable NZ winter, and then some days with my bestest friend from school and her husband.
Going to Holland in August, and 2weeks to Bulgaria with our son Robert (who is living in Holland at the mo) and his Bulgarian partner Violeta. She loves her homeland, but there's not much opportunity there. Anyway, while we r there its Vili's mum Raisa's birthday. Raisa is originally from Russia. So I'm making her a quilt called Red Squares for RaisaHope she likes it.
I'm in the Shufflethanks for the encouragement
Cheers, Elly
A noodle shuffle is a great way for quilters and people interested in quilting to swap Noodles (2-1/2 inch strips of fabric). Members of a noodle shuffle send each other fabric to use in their quilts.
